Al-Ahli, Champions of Asia, Extend their Winning Streak in the League

Fresh off their historic Asian title win, which earned them the Elite Cup, Al-Ahli’s first football team resumed their Roshn Saudi League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Al-Taawoun in Round 30. The game took place at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.

Riding high on momentum and confidence, Al-Ahli struck early with a 10th-minute goal from defender Mohammed Bakor. Later, Toney doubled the lead in the 31st minute, converting a precise assist from Spanish player Gabri Veiga.

Toney’s goal brought his season total to 20, moving him up to second place in the league’s top scorers’ list—just three goals shy of the top spot.
