Al Ahli Beats Al Najmah 4–1 to Reach 53 Points

Al Ahli's first team continued its winning run in the league with a 4–1 victory over Al Najmah in the Founding Day Round (Matchday 23) of the Saudi Pro League at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

The match started with Al Ahli pressing hard, looking for an early goal, but Al Najmah opened the scoring from a counterattack in the 27th minute. Al Ahli continued to control the game but could not find an equalizer before the break, with English striker Ivan Toney missing a penalty in first-half stoppage time.

The second half told a different story. Valentin Atangana leveled the score in the 48th minute, finishing off a cross from Riyad Mahrez. Mahrez set up another goal in the 69th minute, this time finding Toney, who scored to give Al Ahli the lead. Toney added a third in the 87th minute, then completed his hat trick from the penalty spot in stoppage time to round off the win.

With this result, Al Ahli moves to 53 points in the league standings.
