Al Ahli Secure Victory Over Auckland City

Al Ahli secured a 1-0 victory over New Zealand side Auckland City at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah as part of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

The only goal of the match came from Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, who made an instant impact after coming on as a substitute in the 62nd minute. Just one minute later, he found the back of the net in the 63rd minute to give Al Ahli the lead and ultimately seal the victory.

Al Ahli will now turn their attention to their next challenge against South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns on September 19. The winner of the match will be crowned the FIFA Africa-Asia-Pacific Cup champion.
