Al Ahli officially signs Brazilian striker Ricardo Mathias

Al Ahli Club Company has finalized the signing of young Brazilian striker Ricardo Mathias da Silva (19) from Brazil’s Internacional Club to strengthen the first football team during the current winter transfer window. The contract runs until 2030, and the new arrival will wear jersey number 99.

This signing aligns with the club’s sports strategy to recruit top young talents and build a squad that blends experience and youthful energy, ensuring sustainable competitiveness across all levels.

Mathias possesses exceptional physical and technical qualities. Standing 192 cm tall, he offers a clear advantage in aerial balls, along with excellent finishing skills, intelligent movement inside the penalty area, and the ability to operate effectively as a target man within the team’s attacking system.

Despite his young age, the player has an impressive international record. He won the U-17 South American Championship with Brazil in 2023 and the U-20 South American Championship in 2025, and made a strong start with his previous club in the Brazilian league, scoring several decisive goals.

Mathias has now arrived in Jeddah, successfully passed his medical examination, and will immediately join team training under head coach Matthias Jaissle in preparation for the upcoming competitions.
