Al-Ahli beat Pinzgau Saalfelden 8-0 in their first friendly of the Austria training camp
The first team kicked off their friendly matches at their pre-season training camp in Austria with a resounding 8–0 victory over Austrian side Pinzgau Saalfelden, in the team’s first test match in preparation for the new season.
This training camp forms part of the preparation program drawn up by the coaching staff, with the aim of improving the players’ technical and physical readiness and ensuring they are in peak condition before the start of the upcoming season.
Al Ahli opened the scoring in the 29th minute through Eduard Spertsyan, a recent signing for Al Ahli, who netted his first goal in the team’s colours.
Saleh Abu Alshamat added the second goal in the 40th minute, before Ricardo Mathias sealed the result by scoring the third goal in first-half stoppage time (45+2).
As the second half got underway, Al-Ahli continued to dominate, with Meshal AlMutairi scoring the fourth goal in the 51st minute, netting his first for the first team. Ricardo Mathias then scored his second of the match and Al-Ahli’s fifth in the 58th minute.
Yassine Alzubaidi added the sixth goal in the 62nd minute following an outstanding individual effort and a successful dribble past the opposition defense, whilst Mousa Abu Bakr scored the seventh goal in the 68th minute, before rounding off the goal fest by netting the eighth in the 84th minute, scoring his second of the match.
