Al-Ahli Steps Up Training Before Tirol Friendly
Al-Ahli's first team is intensifying preparations at their training camp in Längenfeld, Austria, as key foreign players Riyad Mahrez, Franck Kessié, Edouard Mendy, Allan Maximin, and Merih Demiral have joined the squad for the 2025-2026 pre-season under German head coach Matthias Jaissle and his coaching staff.
The team will play their opening friendly against Austrian Tirol FC on Friday before traveling to Italy for the Como Cup tournament.
Daily double sessions combine on-pitch training, recovery work, and gym sessions as the coaching staff progressively builds game fitness while introducing tactical patterns to develop team chemistry and implement the manager's playing style.
England international striker Ivan Toney is set to arrive soon, alongside Saudi internationals returning from extended breaks following participation with the Saudi national team.
This training camp forms the foundation of Al-Ahli's pre-season preparations, targeting peak physical condition and tactical sharpness to meet the club and supporters' expectations and ambitions for the upcoming season.
