Al Ahli sign off the season with a four goal win against Al-Khaleej to reach 81 points
Al Ahli defeated hosts Al Khaleej 4-1 at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam in the 34th and final round of the Saudi Pro League.
The match got off to a lively start, with both teams trading attacks early on. Al Ahli took the lead in the eighth minute through Rayan Hamed, but Al Khaleej hit back in the 17th minute after sustained attacking pressure. Al Ahli took control and restored their advantage in the 34th minute, when Feras Al Brikan found the net to make it 2-1 before halftime.
Al Ahli kept pushing after the break, and an own goal from Al Khaleej’s defense in the 50th minute gave them a bigger lead. Matheus Gonçalves then added a fourth in the 78th minute as Al Ahli closed out the win comfortably, taking their points tally to 81.
