Al-Ahli continues its winning streak and defeats Al-Wasl in the AFC (Asian) competition

The first football team of Al-Ahli continued its victories in the AFC Champions League Elite after defeating its host, Al-Wasl of the UAE, with a 2-0 win during the match held at Zabeel Stadium in Dubai.

The match saw Riyad Mahrez continuing his form, scoring one goal and assisting another, bringing his contributions in this edition of the AFC Champions League Elite to three. Roger Ibañez added the second goal in the 38th minute of the first half.

Al-Ahli achieved an important record in the Asian competition, keeping a clean sheet in its first two group stage matches, raising its points tally to six in the tournament.
