Al-Ahli defeats Qatar's Al-Rayyan in AFC Champions League Elite

Al-Ahli’s first football team maintained its impressive form in the AFC Champions League Elite stage by defeating Qatar’s Al-Rayyan 2-1. The match took place at the Ahmad bin Ali World Cup Stadium in Al-Rayyan, known as the “Lions’ Den,” securing Al-Ahli’s third consecutive win to reach nine points with a perfect record in the competition.

Gabri Veiga opened the scoring for Al-Ahli in the 16th minute with a cross from a corner kick that found the net. Striker Firas Al-Buraikan extended the lead with a brilliant header in the 38th minute.

Al-Ahli is set to host Al-Shorta of Iraq in the next round of the AFC Champions League Elite stage on Monday, November 4, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
