Eduard Spertsyan is an Al Ahli Player
Al Ahli Club has officially announced the signing of Armenian attacking midfielder Eduard Spertsyan from Russian side FC Krasnodar on a four year contract. The move comes as part of the club’s strategy to strengthen the first team ahead of the upcoming domestic and continental competitions in the new season.
Spertsyan is regarded as one of the most prominent midfielders in Russian football in recent years, thanks to his high technical quality, exceptional vision in playmaking, and his ability to break through defenses, create chances, and score goals. In addition, he stands out for his excellence in set piece proficiency, earning his place among the elite players of the Russian Premier League.
The player has achieved several individual accolades, most notably being named Best Midfielder in the Russian Premier League for the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 seasons. He also won Armenia’s Player of the Year award in 2022 and 2025, highlighting his strong impact at both club and international levels.
Spertsyan continued his impressive performances with Krasnodar, winning the club’s Player of the Year award for three consecutive years (2024, 2025, and 2026), before playing a key role in leading the team to their first ever Russian Premier League title in the 2024–2025 season.
He concluded his journey with Krasnodar with an outstanding season, topping the list of players with the most goal contributions in the Russian Premier League for 2025–2026. He also led the assists chart in the 2022–2023 and 2025–2026 seasons, in addition to scoring 10 goals from direct free kicks.
The signing of Spertsyan reflects Al Ahli’s approach to recruiting high quality and experienced players, strengthening the squad depth and adding a valuable option in midfield, in line with the club’s ambitions to compete for all titles.
