Al-Ahli Thrashes Al-Fayha 5-0 in Saudi League

Al-Ahli delivered a stunning performance at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, defeating Al-Fayha 5-0 in their game as part of round 28 of the Saudi Roshn League.

The hosts wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Brazilian defender Roger Ibañez opening the scoring in the 17th minute. Ibañez wasn't finished there, doubling Al-Ahli's advantage with a powerful header in the 37th minute. Just before halftime, English striker Ivan Toney made it three, connecting perfectly with Riyad Mahrez's corner kick to head home in stoppage time.

Al-Ahli maintained their momentum in the second half, with Toney slotting home his second goal from the penalty spot in the 68th minute, before Riyad Mahrez scored a fifth goal in the 82nd minute.

That win takes Al-Ahli’s total to 55 points in the league.
