French International Valentin Atangana Signs with Al Ahli

Al Ahli Club Company has completed the signing of French international Valentin Atangana from France-based Stade de Reims on a three-season deal, as the club looks to bolster its squad with promising young international talent for the current season and beyond.

The defensive midfielder was a key player for Reims, featuring in all 34 of their Ligue 1 games last season. Atangana came through the French club's youth academy before establishing himself in the first team. He has represented France at various youth levels, including his current inclusion in the under-21 team, and was part of the squad that won the 2022 European Under-17 Championship. He was also named in the Team of the Tournament at the 2024 European Under-19 Championship.
