Croatian Mario Stanic has also joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach. He spent several years working within Club Brugge’s professional setup before taking up the role of assistant coach at Shakhtar Donetsk, adding experience gained from competitive environments at the European level.
The club has also appointed Dutchman Raymond van der Gouw as goalkeeper coach. He has more than 20 years of experience in goalkeeper coaching and has worked with the coaching staffs of Vitesse, Sunderland, PSV Eindhoven, and Shakhtar Donetsk.
For physical performance, Belgian coach Roel Tambour has been appointed as performance coach. He holds a master’s degree in Sports Sciences and has previously worked with the first team at UAE club Al Jazira and with Shakhtar Donetsk, in addition to academic and professional experience with Belgium’s KU Leuven, OH Leuven, and KRC Genk. Tambour will join Al Ahli’s physical performance and nutrition department as part of an integrated structure that works directly with the coaching staff led by head coach Marino Pušić.
Marino will be joined by his coaching staff, who have arrived in Jeddah, alongside the technical staff already working at Al Ahli.
